Every provincial program on this page can be read alongside the federal National Heat Pump Rebate, which the PMO says can be combined with provincial programs.
- Provincial heat pump rebates ended April 15, 2026. If you bought between Apr 15, 2025 and Apr 15, 2026, you can still apply within one year of purchase.
- Free Heat Pump Program and Oil to Heat Pump Affordability: both closed to new applicants. About 2,000 approved households are still waiting for installation. [CBC]
- Rebate claims: a heat pump rebate claim needs a Certificate of Compliance from a Network of Excellence installer.
- What's left: in practice, the main new incentive for most Islanders is the federal National Heat Pump Rebate (early 2027).
